About the Author
K.N. Hyatt is from the United States. Which state exactly, is anyone's guess. The idea for Unknotted came while she lived in Alaska, she wrote it in Maryland, and she published in Hawaii. She hopes to find a place to call home someday.

While she spends her early mornings and late nights with her fictional friends, during the day she attempts to convince high schoolers they want to know science. Once described as a "Renaissance woman," she's dabbled in more than a few talents to include all things crafting, woodworking, bread-making, stone laying, and martial arts. What she can't do is whistle, and she doesn't want to learn, so please don't offer.

She has three boys, who keep growing. Soon enough, they'll surpass her five-foot stature. While volunteering for the Humane Society, she adopted a litter—yes, almost the whole litter—of cats. As much as she loves them, she's still a dog person.
